Focus on Digital rights in Cities.

Let's fight ourselves against issues such as censorship , surveillance , and data misuse by governments or corporations .  The Cities Coalition for Digital Rights is the creation of city governments from around the world. To join, cities need to have made a clear political commitment to promote digital rights , and demonstrate that they are developing policies and projects to protect digital rights in practice .

Enhance international solidarity between cities.

Founded in 1979, the AIMF is an association (under the law of 1901) which has evolved to reflect changes in the political leadership and activities of local authorities. It is a welcoming space of exchange and solidarity for Mayors of francophone cities that has developed alongside city environments and international solidarity between cities . UN-Habitat launched the 2024 edition of its World Cities Report at the World Urban Forum (WUF12) , focusing on the urgent intersection of climate action and rapid urbanization . This biennial publication serves as a global reference on sustainable urban knowledge, revealing critical findings. With a vast funding gap of $4.5-5.4 trillion needed annually for resilient infrastructure, the report also highlights the risks of “green gentrification” that can displace vulnerable communities.
